Choosing the Right Gymnastics Class for Your Child

Choosing the right gymnastics class for your child is essential to ensure they have a positive and safe experience while developing their skills. Here are some tips to help you make the right decision:

Age and Skill Level:

  • Consider your child's age and skill level. Our gymnastics programs are tailored to specific age groups, and classes are also divided based on skill levels: Beginner 1 & 2, Intermediate 1 & 2, Advanced 1.

  • Ensure the class is appropriate for your child's current abilities and developmental stage. Our age groupings take into account the developmental milestones as well as the natural progression of growth and flexibility.

Class Types:

  • Different gymnastics classes focus on various aspects of the sport, such as recreational gymnastics, competitive gymnastics, or tumbling.

  • Choose a class that aligns with your child's interests and goals.

Class Size:

  • GMG offers smaller class sizes to allow for more individualized attention and instruction.

  • The student-to-coach ratio is no more than 1:8 or 2:10 to ensure your child receives proper guidance and supervision.

  • The ratios vary per age group and skill level.

Trial Classes:

  • Gold Medal Gymnastics offers trial classes of any recreational or tumbling class with available space for $25.

  • Trial classes are not available for Competitive Team Practice. Please inquire at [email protected] for Team interest.

Cost and Schedule:

Remember that your child is unique, so it's essential to choose a gymnastics class that suit their personality, interests, and developmental stage. Regularly check in with your child to ensure they are enjoying the classes and making progress in a positive and supportive environment.
